Volunteers

Our camps are only as good as the staff and volunteers who are serving! We are always looking for individuals (or couples) who would like to volunteer part of their summer investing in young people. Volunteers perform many tasks and fill many roles. Generally you can expect to be staying in a cabin with the students (all air-conditioned) and working with a specific group of students during the week. We know our volunteers are giving up their time and often vacation time to be at camp, so we do everything we can to help the week run smoothly. Many of our volunteers say that their time at camp is some of the most rewarding time of their summer. If you'd like to volunteer, or learn more about it, see below!

Background Checks

The safety and security of our students, staff, and volunteers is our number one priority. Therefore, every staff member, volunteer, and/or overnight guest, who is 18 years of age or older must submit to a criminal background check. This background check must be run by us on each volunteer. We cannot accept a background check performed by another agency. After you fill out the Volunteer Application, you will receive an email from no-reply@selection.com, subject line "Fastrax - Applicant Info Request," with a unique link to go to their secure site to enter your information. If you do not receive this email within 3-5 business days of submitting your application, first check your SPAM folder. If it is not there, please contact the Registrar. (If you do not have an email address, please Contact Us after you fill out your Volunteer Application.) Copies of the background check are available to you at no cost when you check the box on the form. There are no costs for you associated with this process.

Maiden Names, Alternate Names, & Driver's License

Be sure to include your maiden name and any alternate names you have used when filling out the form. This will help reduce false positives. If you do not have a driver's license, simply write NONE in the box and put your home state.

Church Leader Reference

During the application process, you will be asked to provide a reference from a church leader at your current church. Please have that name and either phone or email contact information ready when you fill out your form.

Emergency Contact

You will also need to provide one emergency contact on your Volunteer Application.

Please have the name and phone number ready.

Climbing Wall & Zip Line

Any volunteer older than 4th grade MAY be able to use the climbing wall and zip line during camp if they are open during your week of camp. Campers have first priority and there is no guarantee that you will get to use them. However, if you would like the opportunity, you must check the box on the Volunteer Application and fill out the Climbing Wall/Zip Line Release & Medical Information Form. No one is allowed to climb or zip without this form.

Any volunteer under 18 must have a parent/guardian fill out that form.

Volunteer Fees, Snack Shack, & Missions

We are thankful that you have given up your time - there are no volunteer registration fees for registered volunteers. You will also be provided with snacks/drinks from the Snack Shack when it is open to campers, subject to the same rules and restrictions given to campers. There will be a mission for each week of camp, and you may desire to bring

additional monies to donate to that missionary. This is strictly voluntary.
